The correct solution for every window.

Not every window calls for a curtain. Some rooms ask for something cleaner, or more precise — and part of our skill is knowing which treatment will serve a particular space best.

Plantation shutters and roller blinds can work as stand-alone treatments but are frequently used alongside curtains — providing privacy and light control while the curtains add warmth and softness — and we are experienced in designing schemes where both elements work together without competing.

Plantation shutters

At their finest, shutters are as much an architectural feature as a window treatment — a permanent addition to a room that earns its place through precision, longevity and the quality of light they create. We supply and install plantation shutters from selected premium manufacturers, in timber and specialist alternatives, across a range of finishes. We also offer a colour matching service drawing from Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Dulux and more than 200 RAL Classic shades — so that every detail coordinates with the wider scheme.

Our fitting expertise is particularly valued for the windows that other installers find difficult: deep reveals, bay windows, apex and shaped openings, period frames with all their variation in size and level. We approach each installation individually, because no two windows — and no two properties — are quite the same.

Roller blinds

A well-specified roller blind is a more refined product than it might appear. Fabric choice, lining type, tensioning, operating system and cassette finish all contribute to how a blind looks and performs over many years of use.

We offer privacy roller blinds and blackout solutions, as well as laminated roller blinds made from fabrics drawn from our full collection — the same cloths available for our curtains and soft furnishings, not a limited range of functional fabrics. For whole-house schemes, this means perfect visual continuity across every room.

Motorisation

Motorised window treatments are worth serious consideration for larger or more complex schemes — where there are several tall windows, rooms where manual operation is impractical, or for clients who value the simplicity of remote or integrated smart-home control. Roman blinds, roller blinds and curtains can all be motorised with complete discretion: no exposed cabling, no visual compromise, no sense that the technology is present at all.

We do not propose motorisation as a standard addition. We recommend it when it is clearly the right answer — and when it is, we ensure the installation is as invisible and refined as the treatment itself.

“I have used Penny to make our curtains and blinds for nearly ten years and I wouldn’t choose anyone else!"
